Since 1957, West-Norway has been a leading supplier of dried-salted fish (Bacalhau) to global markets. Our expertise lies in producing and exporting our flagship product, "Dried-salted Cod from Norway," which remains our primary focus. With an annual sales volume of around 22,000 tons, we rank among the top three exporters worldwide. Our key markets include Brazil, Italy, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Portugal.
Specializing in Cod (Gadus Morhua and Macrocephalus), Saithe, Ling, and Zarbo (Brosme), West-Norway is uniquely positioned to offer mixed containers of our diverse product range throughout the year. Headquartered in the coastal city of Aalesund, Norway, we also operate a branch office and factory in Qingdao, China, since 2004. This facility produces skinless-boneless dried salted fish products from Norwegian and US raw materials.
As part of the Jangaard group, West-Norway contributes to the group's total production and export volume of approximately 40,000 tons of dried salted fish products annually, making us the largest producer in the world. With representations in major cities across Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Portugal, we ensure efficient service to our global clientele, supported by our headquarters and China office.
