Grieg Seafood and BAADER Finalize NOK 130 Million Deal at Seafood Processing Global 2024
During the Seafood Processing Global event in Barcelona, Spain, from April 23 to 25, Grieg Seafood and BAADER sealed a significant agreement worth NOK 130 million. BAADER will supply a comprehensive processing line for Grieg Seafood's upcoming facility near Oslo, Norway, covering all stages from raw material reception to final product packaging, as confirmed by BAADER in a press release.
Piotr Wingaard, Director at Grieg, emphasized the longstanding collaboration between the two companies, highlighting BAADER's integral involvement in the design phase of the seafood-processing plant. Wingaard noted that engaging BAADER from the outset was essential for tailoring the facility to the processing equipment and realizing Grieg's vision for the project.
BAADER introduced the key equipment to be featured in the new facility, including the BA581 Pro filleting machine and the BA1860 fillet inspection machine. These machines are designed to enhance efficiency and precision in processing a variety of seafood species, including farmed salmon and trout, as well as wild-caught coho, sockeye, tuna, and similar species.
Wingaard expressed confidence in BAADER's equipment reliability and software solutions, emphasizing their suitability for Grieg's operational needs. Modulf Barstad, BAADER Norway's Vice President of Sales, echoed Wingaard's sentiments, stating that the collaboration between Grieg Seafood and BAADER will set a new standard for the salmon industry.
The new processing plant, situated in Gardermoen, Norway, is slated for completion in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between Grieg Seafood and BAADER.
