Introducing Marfrio We are a seafood marketing and processing company, offering an extensive range of frozen and pre-cooked products crafted from species caught and deep-frozen at sea. Our goal? To meet customer needs with the highest standards of product quality, attention, and service.
As a result, we are consistently engaged in improvement processes.
MARFRIO SPAIN Established in 1984 and situated in Puerto de Marín, Pontevedra, Marfrio Spain is a specialized plant for the production of natural and pre-cooked products. Equipped with modern production and packaging lines, its own laboratory, and advanced freezing systems, it serves as the primary logistics hub for the group. With an ideal location just a few meters from the dock and a refrigeration capacity of 37,000 m³, Marfrio Spain conducts unloading, packaging, storage, and distribution operations for large vessels. This ensures the maintenance of the cold chain and proper handling of goods at all times.
MARFRIO PERU
In 2013, it seamlessly integrated into the Marfrio Group, transforming into Marfrío Perú SA.
This strategic addition granted us enhanced control over raw materials at their source.
Specializing in Peruvian potón, this facility serves as the foundation for certain products developed by the company in the North of Spain and Portugal.
Boasting a 5,000 m³ cold room with a storage capacity of 1,100 tons, Marfrío Peru has a robust production capacity of 40 tons per day.
MARFRIO NAMIBIA
In 2015, Marfrio Namibia became an integral part of the Group, focusing its operations in the African fishing grounds.
The addition of a new vessel, the Jonas, has strategically positioned us in the most significant fishing grounds, ensuring a consistent supply of essential raw materials, particularly hake.
This investment grants us access to a substantial fish quota of 3,000 tons, with 90% allocated to hake, along with monkfish and pink fish.
