Seafood Expo North America (SENA) and Seafood Expo Global (SEG) in 2023 provided an extensive lineup of presentations and sessions, offering exclusive insights from leading experts in the seafood industry. These sessions covered a wide array of topics, including economic forecasts and analyses addressing key trends and issues such as trade, food safety, traceability, aquaculture, sustainability, and consumption trends. Now, all 28 individual presentations from SENA and the 21 sessions from SEG are accessible through on-demand video recordings.
One notable session titled "Food for Thought and Wellbeing: Can the Seafood Industry Work with Plant-based Analog Developers to Feed a Growing Planet?" featured Mickie French, Executive Director of The Center for Food Integrity, Steven Markenson, Vice President of Research and Insights at FMI, and was moderated by Maddie Kearns, Product Manager at SeafoodSource. This session, held on March 13th, explored changing dietary preferences in North America towards plant-based and climate-friendly foods, and how the seafood industry can adapt and collaborate in this evolving landscape.
