Since 2015, the Garcia-Calero brothers, Francisco and Josefina, have spearheaded the management of Mariscos Castellar. Armed with degrees in Business Sciences and Masters in Business Management, they garnered diverse experiences in various positions within the food sector, both in Spain and abroad.
The brothers consider the company's team as the foremost asset, valuing the human factor and preserving the artisanal tradition since its inception. With over a hundred employees across centers in Santisteban del Puerto, Castellar, and Jaén, Mariscos Castellar boasts a modern organizational structure encompassing professional departments in production, quality, logistics, export innovation and development, national purchases, warehouse, management, human resources, maintenance, sales, marketing and communication, and corporate social responsibility.
 
HISTORY
Established in 1969 by Pepe Garcia and Elisa Calero, Mariscos Castellar boasts over half a century of expertise in developing and distributing premium sea products, especially seafood, delivered throughout Spain.
Originally rooted in Castellar, a village in the province of Jaén, the company's legacy spans three generations within the same family. From Pepe's father, Francisco Garcia, who was involved in the grocery trade in the 1950s, to the present leadership of Francisco and Josefina García-Calero.
With a robust academic and business background, the García-Calero brothers have steered the company, which, starting from its artisanal beginnings, has consistently emphasized the quality of its products and professional integrity. Over the years, Mariscos Castellar has evolved into an industry leader within the national food sector.
