Sargopesca operates as a frozen fish trading company based in Spain, with our main office situated in Vigo, which is renowned as Europe's largest port for frozen fish. Additionally, Sargopesca is affiliated with a prominent group of companies including Congelados Sariego and Transportes Jonathan.
Our fishing agreements with shipowners enable us to provide highly competitive prices, catering to processors and wholesalers, particularly in Central, Eastern, and Western Europe, Northern Africa, and the Far East.
The fishing vessels affiliated with Sargopesca operate across various fishing grounds worldwide, primarily in the Southwest Atlantic, Southeast Atlantic (including areas such as Argentina, the Falkland Islands, Namibia, etc.), Northwest Atlantic, Northeast Atlantic (including NAFO and Hatton Bank), and more.
We have the capability to supply products directly from their source or from our base in Vigo, where we maintain a permanent stock to serve all our clients. With our own processing facility, we can process products and offer them in various packaging styles tailored to our customers' preferences. Our goal is to cultivate and sustain long-term business partnerships with our clients.
Located in Rábade, our manufacturing plant spans over 25,000 m2, featuring 20,000 m3 of cold storage in an automated chamber, alongside fish transformation and processing sections including cutting, glazing, sanitizing, and various packaging methods.
Recently operational, our bagging line complements the presentation range of diverse frozen products. In 2009 alone, our chambers handled 85,000 MT of frozen products, with production lines capable of processing over 40 MT per day.
With four bagging lines, we package 30 MT of products daily across more than 40 different references. Our highly skilled team, continuously embracing the latest technologies, ensures meticulous care across all processes, maintaining quality thresholds essential for competitive products.
Our production processes undergo rigorous quality controls periodically. Continuous water analysis by independent laboratories, coupled with regular analysis of multiple fish and meat species every three days, guarantee optimal consumption conditions.
Our commitment to quality is reflected in ISO 9001 and EN 2005 certifications. Offering a diverse range of products including whole unprocessed fish, sliced species, cephalopods, mollusks, and shellfish, our offerings come in various forms like glazed, sanitized, bagged, or bulk.
